As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Credential Desk in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will provide a welcoming, professional presence at a premier commercial location. You will support access control, monitor security-related systems, assist visitors and employees, and communicate clearly to help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, maintain visitor logs, and support access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor entry activity, respond to inquiries, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
