As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Badge Processing in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
  • Monitor access points, review visitor and contractor credentials, maintain required logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
