About The Position

Securitas Security is seeking customer service-driven individuals for part-time security positions in Manitou, CO. This role offers the opportunity to serve the community while receiving elite training in safety and security. The company provides dedicated management support for growth and advancement. The position involves a swing shift, typically 4-5 hours per evening on Sundays and Saturdays from 5 PM to 10 PM (or later as needed).

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
  • Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
  • All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
  • Appropriate I9 Identifications.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
  • Must have Swing or Grave shift availability.
  • Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
  • Must be able to obtain Colorado Springs Guard Card license and maintain it every year.
  • Must be able to attend in-person interview, and in-person orientation in Colorado Springs if hired.
  • Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and ability to report alarms via telephone.
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist vendors, public, guests, client, and Office Management.
  • Must be open to communication and feedback from client, and Office Management.
  • Must be able to remain organized and professional.

Nice To Haves

  • Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Report alarms in accordance with client requirements, and monitor cameras.
  • Greet vendors, customers, venue guests, client employees, and client, and aid as needed.
  • Conduct internal foot patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons; inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
  • Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to site visitors, vendors, and guests.
  • Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems.
  • Provide an atmosphere in which all guests, client employees, site visitors, client, and Management know their needs are being met.
  • Present a good image to client, public, and Management.
  • Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
  • Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
  • Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
  • Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
  • Prevent venue guests from leaving facility with alcoholic beverages.
  • Interact with and greet guests, vendors, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and ability to report alarms via telephone.
  • Provide high quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.
  • Adhere to 15-minute and lunch breaks.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
  • Learn and adhere to security operations.
