About The Position

Associa is seeking a part-time, on-call Security Officer to ensure the overall security of a property. This role involves preventing theft, vandalism, and property damage through various tactics, including patrolling, monitoring access, and responding to emergencies. Security Officers also assist guests, enforce safety regulations, and maintain parking lot security. A key aspect of this role is maintaining constant awareness of potential risks and concerns.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Required
0 - 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
Guard Card Required
Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
Professional customer service skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
Time management and time-critical prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
Greet incoming guests and tenants, providing information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors.
Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence, or rule and safety violations.
Perform fire prevention, safety, and maintenance tasks, and parking/traffic enforcement.
Other duties as assigned.
