About The Position

As a Security Officer Security Clearance Access Control Operations in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, access-control activity, and unusual observations accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
