About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Systems in CHANNAHON , IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, where you will help manage site entry, verify badges and credentials, monitor access points and alarm panels, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
Control access for deliveries, vendors, and contractors, communicating entry requirements and directing individuals to designated check-in areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support site security-related operations.
