Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government maritime location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government maritime location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout access points, administrative areas, waterfront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Support emergency and operational responses by communicating with local authorities, assisting with access control measures, and following post orders during incidents and/or weather-related events.
