As a Security Officer X Ray Screener in Davenport, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support access control activities. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document entry and exit activity to help support authorized access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting operational concerns, reporting suspicious activity, and documenting observations in required reports.
