As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet guests, manage access and visitor logs, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond to security-related questions with professionalism and clear communication. You will stay visible, help to discourage unwanted activity, and support the team with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while delivering reliable, innovative service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and entertainment location.
  • Staff the front desk and help manage access by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor and vendor logs.
  • Monitor entrances, the lobby area, and available camera and/or alarm systems, report suspicious activity, and assist with loss prevention awareness while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance, coordinating with site contacts, and contacting public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete routine documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate key information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
