As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors and drivers, manage access control and badge processes, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will deliver a professional customer service experience while helping support an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity through teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary badges and/or access credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate contact or area.
  • Monitor entry points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and visitor management tools, and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when required and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required logs and reports such as visitor logs, incident reports, and daily activity summaries, and communicate shift updates to oncoming personnel.
