As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access and visitor logs, monitor cameras and alarms, and support security-related reporting using a computer or tablet. You will be a visible, customer-service focused presence who helps maintain orderly site operations through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity, while staying agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Staff the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor access materials, and supporting sign-in and sign-out processes in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor and control access by screening deliveries, contractors, and vendors, coordinating with on-site contacts for approvals, and maintaining an accurate visitor and contractor log.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel, documenting actions taken, and assisting with follow-up as directed.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems at the front desk such as phones, radios, access control, and cameras where applicable, and complete required reports and administrative tasks.
