As a Security Officer - Welcome Center Desk in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced healthcare location as a Front Desk Officer, welcoming employees and visitors, verifying access, managing badges and sign-ins, answering phones, and monitoring cameras and alarms. You will be a calm, professional presence who helps to deter security-related concerns through strong communication, accurate reporting, and quick coordination with site teams. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Staff the front desk to monitor and control access, verify identification and/or appointments as required, and issue and recover temporary badges and visitor credentials per site policy.
  • Operate lobby and reception communications, including answering phones, monitoring alarms and/or video systems as assigned, and documenting security-related activity in written logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Support security-related screening and property control procedures as assigned, including managing deliveries, directing vendors to appropriate check-in points, and escalating concerns according to post orders.
