As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns around docks, yards, and access points. You will greet drivers and employees with strong customer service, support incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or shipping documentation as required, and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and medical calls, and coordinate notifications per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of security-related activities, patrol observations, and incident response actions, and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
