As an Allied Universal Officer at a healthcare location, you will focus on access control by welcoming staff and visitors, verifying credentials, managing badges and guest logs, and helping guide people to the right areas. You will complete routine rounds, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at a healthcare location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or badging, screening deliveries, and directing authorized persons to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras, and/or alarms as assigned, document unusual activity, and report maintenance or system issues through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify hazards, and complete required logs and reports.
