About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Screening Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, supporting reliable coverage across the location.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific procedures and assisting with security-related access control at designated entry points.
  • Screen individuals, bags, and personal items as required using approved methods and available screening equipment, helping to deter prohibited items from entering the facility.
  • Monitor entry lanes and waiting areas, manage visitor flow, provide directions, and communicate screening instructions in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct periodic walks and visual inspections around entrances, screening areas, and nearby perimeter points as assigned, documenting and reporting suspicious activity and/or hazards.
