As an Access Control Security Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use strong communication and customer service skills, document security-related observations, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access logs for a food and beverage production location.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing traffic at gates, doors, and designated entry areas to help deter unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building exterior, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
