About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Reception Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a professional location, greeting guests, managing visitor check-in, answering questions, and supporting access control. You will monitor activity from the front desk, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and responders as needed. Bring a customer-focused mindset and help deliver an agile, reliable, and innovative experience through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific policies, access control procedures, and other security-related post orders at the front desk.
  • Monitor and document visitor, vendor, and/or contractor check-in and check-out, including issuing credentials and directing individuals to the appropriate destination.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and coordinate notifications to site contacts for arrivals, deliveries, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident documentation, visitor records, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant information during post handoff.
