About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Management Desk in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a busy financial services location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badging, and monitor activity through cameras and systems to help identify security-related concerns early. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests, document incidents, and support a professional lobby experience. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and other security-related policies.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and communications equipment, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and access records, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
