About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In Desk in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a transportation location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors, managing access control, verifying credentials, and maintaining accurate logs. You will monitor cameras and alarms, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams to help support security-related operations. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk of a transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access by greeting visitors, checking identification, issuing visitor badges, and directing guests and contractors according to site requirements.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, telephones, and/or other communications systems, and document irregular activity and service requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with incident reporting.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, visitor logs, deliveries logs, and key control records, and communicate post updates during shift turnover.
