Job Description As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In Desk in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting a professional, customer-focused environment. You will greet visitors, manage access, answer questions, and document security-related activity while staying alert to changing conditions. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges when required, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor security-related systems at the front desk such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, and report unusual activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete accurate written reports and shift logs, document incidents and customer service interactions, and communicate handoff information to incoming personnel.
