About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Badging in Earth City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity to help support smooth operations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, document security-related observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery appointments for employees, visitors, and contractors; issue and collect visitor credentials according to post orders.
  • Manage truck and trailer ingress and egress by checking drivers in and/or out, confirming shipping and receiving documentation, directing traffic flow to assigned docks or staging areas, and documenting activity in required logs.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site leadership and/or emergency services when needed and complete required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report maintenance or operational concerns to the appropriate contact.
