As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and document observations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor building activity, alarms and/or surveillance equipment as assigned, and report irregular conditions in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with evacuations as directed and/or supporting arriving public responders.
  • Complete routine reports such as daily activity logs, patrol reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management as required.
