About The Position

As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorized entry when required, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns.
  • Support a respectful environment within the shelter setting by addressing routine concerns, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when needed.
