As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
