Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to manage visitor and vendor entry in accordance with location protocols, offering directions and assistance while supporting a professional environment.
  • Support hospital operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and by assisting with traffic, parking, and high-visibility presence during busy periods.
