As an unarmed patrol officer at a retail location, you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with shoppers and team members, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, traffic flow, and customer assistance as directed while maintaining a professional presence.
