Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Dispatch Specialist in Carmel, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Officer within a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key role in managing access control and badge procedures. This is a driving position. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must have 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, emergency medical technician, or fire department services experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor and coordinate communication between field personnel, emergency responders, and site management to facilitate timely responses to incidents and critical situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, incidents, and dispatch activities as required by site policies.
  • Utilize communication equipment to dispatch security-related personnel and relay important information across the location.
  • Assist in managing access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal management and site leadership by maintaining awareness of ongoing activities and reporting any unusual circumstances.
