Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service related position
- BST certificate and Valid BC Security License or willingness to obtain a Security License
- First Aid Intermediate 2
- Bondable
- Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
- Must be available for all shifts including evenings, overnight shifts and weekends.
- Clear, professional and helpful communication in person and over the phone
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- A high level of responsibility and ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations
- Impeccable grooming and presentation
- Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including: Standing/walking for extended periods of time, Performing repetitive work
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the hotel, guests and employees
- Greet guests and visitors, respond to inquiries and provide information
- Research and report any incidents in accordance with standards of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
- Perform interior and exterior patrols of hotel property and be a visible security presence while on duty
- Monitor CCTV camera system
- Act as First Aid Attendant and respond to all first aid calls while on duty
- Maintain effective relationships with Municipal, Federal or Corporate security/police forces
- Other duties as assigned
