As a Security Officer Identity Check Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control activities, and conduct routine patrols to help identify and respond to security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors and deliveries, maintain access logs, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting emergency response activities and established communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Support vehicle and personnel screening functions, verify authorizations for restricted areas, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports.
