About The Position

Arkansas Children's is a tobacco-free workplace and requires flu vaccines. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and cannot be filled by a current user of medical marijuana. The role involves PRN (as needed) work, primarily for weekends and holidays, with assigned 12-hour shifts (either 5 AM - 5 PM or 9 AM - 9 PM). Unarmed Security Officers, certified by the Arkansas State Police, are responsible for monitoring people and locations throughout the ACH Campus, including entry points, screening areas, and parking lots. They will monitor access management systems, perform security rounds, assist with patient/parent/employee transports, and report security-related issues to the ACH Security Dispatcher and on-duty Supervisors.

Requirements

• Certified by the Arkansas State Police
• Drivers License - Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles
• Entry Level - Experience not Required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• IAHSS-Basic (Certification) - within 12 months of hire date or eligibility

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas to enforce AC security/safety regulations and criminal/traffic laws.
• Engages in Emergency Response and Emergency Management.
• Provides strategic assistance and responds to customer service needs as required.
• Assists in controlling traffic and enforcing parking rules and regulations.
• Assists in performing investigations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Monitor entry points utilized for screening.
• Unarmed officers would assist armed officers if directed or needed.
• All officers would fill in for dispatchers when no other options are available and as a supplement during high volume and critical circumstances.
