As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting a collaborative team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Verify visitor, contractor, and employee access credentials; issue and collect badges or passes; and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle access, and restricted areas at a chemical and petrochemical location, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
