As a Security Officer Alarm Response Patrol in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, data center-related areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems as assigned, reporting unusual conditions and following site-specific escalation procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.
