As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift handoff information.
