As a Security Officer Entry Point Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential verification, and/or entry point screening at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and document the movement of employees, contractors, visitors, and/or deliveries, helping to support authorized access and reporting unusual activity through established security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, restricted areas, and the perimeter, with attention to changing conditions, potential hazards, and other security-related concerns.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and incident documentation related to access activity, policy violations, and/or operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
