About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Government Building in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will support access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and communicate clearly with site personnel. Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience using an alarm panel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
