Security Officer Unarmed
About The Position
Arkansas Children's is a tobacco-free workplace and requires flu vaccines. This is a safety-sensitive position and cannot be filled by a current user of medical marijuana. The Unarmed Security Officer, certified by the Arkansas State Police, is responsible for monitoring people and locations throughout the ACH Campus, including entry points, screening areas, and parking lots. This role involves monitoring access management systems, performing security rounds, patient/parent/employee transports, and reporting security-related issues to the ACH Security Dispatcher and on-duty Supervisors. The position requires working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 5 AM to 5 PM, manning weapons-detection systems at entrance locations.
Requirements
- Certified by the Arkansas State Police
- Entry Level - Experience not Required
- Drivers License - Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- IAHSS-Basic (Certification) - within 12 months of hire date or eligibility
Responsibilities
- Patrols assigned areas to enforce AC security/safety regulations and criminal/traffic laws.
- Engages in Emergency Response and Emergency Management.
- Provides strategic assistance and responds to customer service needs as required.
- Assists in controlling traffic and enforcing parking rules and regulations.
- Assists in performing investigations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Monitors entry points utilized for screening.
- Assists armed officers if directed or needed.
- Fills in for dispatchers when no other options are available and as a supplement during high volume and critical circumstances.
