As a Security Officer - Unarmed Train Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders and staff through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit platforms, stations, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and document incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
  • Support crowd management, assist with directions and general information, and follow post orders related to public-facing transit operations and government facility requirements.
