As a Security Officer Unarmed Surveillance Patrol in Homewood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel or resort location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for guests, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the location, following site procedures for visitor access, deliveries, and restricted areas.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
