Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor resident and visitor activity in accordance with location policies, report policy violations and/or suspicious behavior, and support a professional environment through visible security-related presence.
• Assist with incident reporting, daily activity logs, and shift communications, and follow post instructions related to shelter operations, resident interactions, and/or after-hours procedures.
