As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and food and beverage locations, making rounds throughout sales floors, stock areas, and parking lots. You will stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and support guests and team members with clear communication and customer service. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable approach in a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in retail and food or beverage locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, disruptive behavior, and potential shoplifting concerns in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, stock areas, receiving docks, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances and exits, observe customer and employee traffic patterns, and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and maintenance hazards, and communicate updates to on-site personnel and/or responding public services as directed by procedures.
