As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a regulated retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report activity, assist visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, helping to deter unauthorized entry and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns or suspicious activity.
• Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
