As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and contacting emergency services and/or site contacts as needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
