Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Rounds in Canal Winchester, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the industrial location, including production areas, staging yards, and perimeter lines, as directed by site requirements.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries to the proper location.
- Complete required reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident reports, and shift notes, and communicate notable conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
