Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and collaborate with your team. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as required, including assisting with visitor sign-in processes and directing individuals to the appropriate destinations.
  • Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover to support continuity of operations.
