As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will engage shoppers and associates with strong customer service and clear communication, while supporting incident response and reporting. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms and coordinating with on-site personnel and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor entrances and high-traffic areas, assist with loss prevention support by observing and reporting suspicious behavior, and/or help manage crowd flow during peak shopping periods.
• Document patrols, incidents, and/or irregular conditions in written reports, and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
