Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Driver in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, respond to incidents, and assist guests and tenants with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting rapid presence across the property. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and community center location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or notifying site management as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazardous conditions, escalating concerns through the appropriate reporting channels.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives per post orders.
