As a Security Officer Unarmed Property Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government transportation location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted locations for policy compliance, and assist with directing foot traffic and/or coordinating with site contacts during service disruptions or emergencies.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, site representatives, and/or local authorities when appropriate.
