As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or public responders as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas by observing for unusual activity, verifying authorization as directed, and assisting with visitor and/or contractor check-in procedures per site requirements.
• Complete detailed shift documentation and incident reports, communicate observations to incoming officers and/or supervisors, and support investigations by preserving notes and relevant information.
