As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist visitors, staff, and community members with professionalism and care. You will report security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and contribute to a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government human services location.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and visitor documentation.
• Maintain a professional presence while helping to deter unauthorized activity and supporting an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and clients receiving services.
