As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to alarms and site concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Security experience of 2+ years is required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, office areas, common spaces, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or vendor entry as directed, and report maintenance, access control, or other security-related issues to the appropriate contact.
  • Support employees, guests, and/or contractors with directions, policy reminders, and assistance during routine operations, deliveries, and/or special events.
